Story

The story takes place in a small town in Vermont. The town itself is known for its urban legends and tales. The townsfolk are proud of their history and what they're known for, often playing into it to draw in tourists. The high school's basketball team is even named "The VereWolves" to comment on its supposed "werewolf" sightings.

You move into town because of the death of your brother, it's your parents' way to reconnect with old family and history. It definitely brings back memories, whether that's a good thing or not is up to interpretation. Moving is hard and getting along with the other teens is harder. You luckily (Not so much) end up in a situation where you can bond with 5 other people from your school. Together you form your own sort of investigation team, as the police in town think what you and the others saw is straight up bogus.....With evidence to back it up. While the town is known for supernatural happenings, it isn't all true....Right?

While the rest of the gang is unsure of what's happening, you can be sure that it's something supernatural. Especially when the man that has taken residence in your mind (and mirrors) straight up tell you that's the case.  All he wants is to help you...With the condition of you helping him get out of his "prison". Will you trust him or is he one of the many residents that just want to use you for their own benefit?

All the romanceable characters have different sexualities. 

Everything in the demo is made by us (But we were kinda stressing its release hghghgj) the final version will look more polished and clean. The backgrounds most notably, the characters may recieve a visual update as well, but we're currently fine with their looks and don't necessarily plan on it.

The game is very focused on the characters and the romance. 

Since this is a demo there isn't that much content in the game yet. This is mostly to show off the game as a concept. The full game will have 5 chapters and even though we have a kickstarter for it the full game will be free. :) 

Stuff like the backgrounds etc are also placeholders (as some of the funding from the kickstarter will go into comissioning background art). So some of the pictures are straight up real life photos with some touch ups and filters nsvinsoeiv. I'll keep updating the demo though, with a possibility of straight up posting the entirety of chapter 1 sometime soon.

Price: Free-to-Play (It's still a demo tho. The game will be free for 2 days before costing 15 dollars)

Age rating:  16+. Verbena DOES contain some violence and does deal with subjects like death etc.
